Do you have a happy place? Somewhere to escape to just so you can stop.

Breathe.

It doesn’t have to be in some far flung, exotic location. It could be a particular table in a local cafe where the sun shines in the morning. It could be having a cuppa with your Mum and talking about nothing in particular, or it could be in the sun in an Asian country where the food is delicious and there’s nothing to do but sit by the pool all day and just stop.

Breathe.

The photo I have attached to this post is one that I took recently in Koh Samui – Thailand. It’s a place I like to go to just relax. The two of us literally did nothing for 7 days. We sat by the pool at our room and relaxed.

And when you get back to “life”, it seems that the energy that’s built up relaxing, is so quickly swiped away with the rough and tumble of life in a major City.

So I have decided to try and get out into the fresh air at least once a week. I live so close to “country” life – it’s not even a 1 hour drive and I can be in the mountains. Not much farther and I am on the Great Ocean Road. These short drives out of the City, even if for a brief few hours of revitalisation, can make all the difference to how we feel and how we act and react to every day life.

Have you got a plan to recharge, one that you can enact on a regular basis?

I’d love to hear what it is you do to get your batteries recharged.

With Hearty Thanks For Reading,
