Meet Samuel. He was born on the 23rd of December 2015 and one week later, he had his first open heart surgery. He was born with Tetralogy Of Fallout, a rare and complex heart defect.

The surgery went well and after a few days in ICU, Samuel went back to the normal cardiac ward of the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) here in Melbourne, Australia.

As of today, Samuel has been returned to ICU. He has an infection in his blood and some fluid around his lungs.

I’m sharing a little bit of this story about Samuel, because he’s the nephew of a good friend of mine Cathy. She now lives in the UK and is such a long way from home and feeling the stress of his illness plus the tyranny of distance.

In this situation, there’s not a lot we can do as by-standers. But Samuel’s parents would really appreciate your prayers for their little boy. They believe in the power of prayer, so today, I am asking that you pray for him and them.

In whatever form that you pray, can you please send your positive intentions to Samuel and to them?

Thank you for helping.
